Update

Hi everyone. I'm away from home for a few more says, so the posts for this week will likely be out on Wednesday or Thursday. I just wanted to get this out quickly, just as an update for where this blog is headed over the next couple of months. First of all, I would like to say that I am starting school again soon. I'm going into my Sophmore year, and this will give me a lot less time to blog. Posts will probably be shorter/delayed, though I'll do my best to still get some work done on them.

The second thing I want to talk about is the Music Meeting. I'll probably only do these posts occasionally, though I will have a new page at the top of my blog with the results that I'll try to update weekly.

And lastly, I have something new I'll be trying out. I know I've been changing what I've been doing a lot, but this time I'm going to stick with what I have. I call the new series Billboard Overview. Basically, there's three parts to it. The first is discussing the top 20 of the Hot 100, the top 10 of the Billboard 200, and top 10 of the Artist 100. For the Hot 100, I'll be using the normal color-code. For the albums, I'll be using the year-end color code. And lastly, for the artists, here is what I'll be using:

• Green - Artist has consistently impressed me with their projects
• Blue - Artist has had a mixed bag of projects
• Red - Artist has yet to make a project I would consider good
• Yellow - I am tired of the artist

At the end of part 1 of these posts, I'll be giving out two awards: to the artist who had the Best Week and the Worst Week. There are a couple of rules. To qualify, the artists must be in the top 50 of the Artist 100 for that week. Also, I won't always choose the #1 artist for Best Week if another artist did better than expected. Remember that I may not be able to listen to all of every track on every album. I'll listen to enough to get an impression of it, though.

Now, for part 2 of these posts, I'll be talking about all the genre charts. The top 5s of them, to be exact. At the end of this part, I'll give out a Best and Worst award to the top 5s that I think are looking the best and worst respectively.

Lastly, part 3 will be talking about Emerging Artits and new music. For the Emerging Artists, I'll be talking about the top 5 of that chart using the artist color code. For new music, I'll just be quickly talking about some new songs and albums that were released the prior week.
