Hi everyone. Let's just get right into the Hot 100:
Hot 100

5. Post Malone - Better Now (#4) [-1]
4. Marshmello/Bastille - Happier (#6) [+2]
3. Juice WRLD - Lucid Dreams (#3) [=]
2. Travis Scott/Drake - SICKO MODE (#7) [+2]
1. Maroon 5/Cardi B - Girls Like You (#1) [=] {6th Week At #1}
~Girls Like You really shouldn't still be #1. I'd much rather have SICKO MODE up there.
~I'm very happy to see Eastside back in the top 20. Hopefully it can get into the top 10 soon. Can't say the same for Without Me, however. That song is pacing to be Halsey's biggest hit to date, and to be fair I think it perfectly embodies her: boring and completely unnecessary.
~Sunflower is so great. I fell in love with this song from first listen. Though I may have had mixed opinions on Swae Lee's vocals in the past, I still consider myself a fan of his. And thankfully, Swae does sound great here. Post also sounds very good. These are probably the smoothest vocals we've gotten from him possibly ever. The beat is amazing, and it perfectly captures the feeling the song is going for. I would love to see this stick around long enough to make the year-end list for 2019.
~Why the hell are we making Mo Bamba a thing? Sheck Wes sounds terrible, as he draaaaaaaags out everrrrrrrrrrrry other wooooooooooooord. The beat is generic as all hell. But overall, the song just sucks in every single way. Can we not let this become a hit please?
~Good riddance to FEFE. Maybe that song's time is finally coming to an end. God is a woman could rebound due to it hitting #1 on pop radio, but I hope it doesn't. And we also lost two Drake songs, making this the first time in FOREVER that we haven't had a solo Drake song in the top 20. But I don't see SICKO MODE falling anytime soon.
Best Top 20 Entrant (top 20 re-entries don't count): Post Malone/Swae Lee - Sunflower (#9)
Billboard 200
Out of the top 10:
15. Eminem - Kamikaze (#10) [-5] {1 Week At #1}
14. Twenty One Pilots - Trench (#7) [-7]
13. Ella Mai - Ella Mai (#5) [-8]
11. Quavo - QUAVO HUNCHO (#2) [-9]
10. Post Malone - beerbongs & bentleys (#9) [-1] {3 Weeks At #1}
9. Travis Scott - ASTROWORLD (#8) [-1] {2 Weeks At #1}
8. Khalid - Suncity (DEBUT)
7. Drake - Scorpion (#6) [-1] {5 Weeks At #1}
6. Lil Baby & Gunna - Drip Harder (#4) [-2]
5. Lil Wayne - Tha Carter V (#3) [-2] {1 Week At #1}
4. Disturbed - Evolution (DEBUT)
3. Greta Van Fleet - Anthem of the Peaceful Army (DEBUT)
2. Future & Juice WRLD - WRLD On Drugs (DEBUT)
1. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - A Star Is Born Soundtrack (#1) [=] {3rd Week At #1}
~Kamikaze could hopefully be on it's decline. QUAVO HUNCHO was a flop, as was Ella Mai self titled. And Trench wasn't a good album.
~Is anyone surprised that Future and Juice WRLD didn't make a good album when working together? Because I'm not. Every problem I've had with Future's and Juice's music is present on this album, especially the weak beats. Apparently one of the producers on this album helped produce/co-write Let Me Go by Hailee Steinfeld and... yeah, Andrew Watt you're better than this. Future still sucks as a rapper. And aside from Fine China, Juice sucks as a singer and rapper. Well, at least this didn't get the #1.
~I had no idea who Greta Van Fleet were going into this album. And honestly, they really didn't make a good first impression on me. I do enjoy the instrumentation here, which is realistically the only reason that this is decent. Because the vocals suck. Like really bad. The guy screams out every word as if its the most important thing you're ever gonna hear. Yelling can be used very well in songs, but it needs to be used sparingly and with a good build up to it. But perhaps what he has to say really is super important. What is he saying exactly? I have no clue to be honest. As he screams out everything, it ruins his diction and makes it very hard to tell what he's saying. So yeah, production slightly saves it, but overall it's not good.
~A little background of my history with Disturbed. The first (and prior to today, only) song I had ever heard of their's was their cover of The Sound of Silence. While the cover pales in comparison to the original, I still found it to be quite enjoyable. The album just isn't good however. I was complaining about the screaming in Greta Van Fleet's album, but it's even more prevalent here. However, the instrumentation here can't redeem much of anything here. The electric guitars are weak and most of the songs use the same basic guitar lines. I'm glad that Lady Gaga was able to block this from #1.
~I did not like Suncity on first listen. I found it very underwhelming. On a re-listen, however, I enjoyed it quite a bit more. I still think Khalid has a very unique and interesting voice, which elevates the entire album. I like the production here overall. The lyrics are where things get a little complicated though, because this is blatant pandering for the most part. He knows who his target demographic is (people my age) and he's writing songs that people feel they can relate to. It works enough I guess. It doesn't bother me as much as it does other people. Also I find it very funny that he samples Better (which is on the EP) on the song directly prior to it.

~Ummm.... I really don't know who to give best week to. I guess Future and Juice WRLD get it for their #2 album and mini-album bomb. Worst is going to..... Drake? For finally not having any solo songs in the top 20. Sure, sounds good.

Out of the top 5:
OUT. Cole Swindell - Break Up In The End (#4)
10. Florida Georgia Line - Simple (#5) [-5] {rip}

1. Bebe Rexha/Florida Georgia Line - Meant To Be (#1) [=] {48th Week At #1}
~I guess Break Up In The End went recurrent. Also #JusticeForSimple
~Kane Brown is one of my favorite acts in country music. I like the guitars on this new song, Brown's vocals are very good, and the lyrics are fine enough. I would not mind this being a hit at all.
~Speechless is really great. It's a huge step up from Tequila, as the lyrics are better, the production has more going on, and the vocals are better. I hope this becomes as big as Tequila.
~Sigh... I finally did it guys. I finally put Meant To Be in red. Now just please get something else at #1.
