~So uhhhh.... Who is this Alex Aiono kid? I legit forget his name every time I write these posts. The beat here is pretty good I guess. But the rest of the song just is nothing special, due to the fact that his voice is so average and he has very little vocal charisma. The lyrics are also fine. However, I'd rather not have this song do well over certain other huge hits that fell four spots on their second week while that god damn NOTD song is still top 30.
~Ariana Grande brings us the 3rd and final single off of Sweetener, titled breathin. And first I must say I'm very sick of hearing Ariana's voice. So I don't really enjoy her vocals here, though I suppose they are technically good. The production here is also pretty good, but can honestly feel a tad bit lacking at points. I do like the lyrics here. But like overall I guess it's still good. I'm just really starting to get tired of hearing Ariana's voice.

~Machine is broken as a song. There is no proper buildup to Reynolds's yelling, the chord changes are messy, and overall the song commits the worst sin a song can commit: it sounds like shit. Let's not let this get big, ok?
~Moves is a bop. I love the production, Olly Murs sounds great here, and Snoop sounded great but then Hits 1 had to go and edit him out. Not surprised but very disappointed. More on this if it debuts.
~I'm conflicted on Expecations. I absolutely love the guitar riff that is used throughout most of the song, and at first that was enough to carry the song for me. But then I realized something that kinda ruins the song for me: Lauren Jauregui is a terrible singer. Like really bad. Give this riff to Normani and this would be amazing. But nope Jauregui had to make this her debut single. Thankfully, it seems to be flopping elsewhere, but since this is a Hits 1 who knows how it'll do.
