~In terms of our top 20 exits, I could see Sunflower and Shallow coming back as they both have growing radio. Taste left just as I was growing into it, which is kinda too bad I guess.

~God is a woman is so old. Please fall down now.

~I listened to Cardi B's new single Money with my mom a couple weeks ago when it first dropped. My mom happens to have perfect pitch. She told me afterwards that only two notes are used in this entire song. If that doesn't show how lazy this song is, I don't know what does. Cardi brings one of her weakest flows, and the high pitched vocals saying "Money" are super annoying. I hope this doesn't become another hit for Cardi.

~I've already talked about High Hopes quite a bit, so I'll keep this quick. Brendon Urie sounds fantastic, the production is great (and nothing like AJR), and the lyrics are a tad generic but still good. I hope this goes into the top 10 next week.

Best Top 20 Entrant: Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes (#11)

3. Joji - BALLADS 1 (DEBUT)
2. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - A Star Is Born Soundtrack (#1) [-1] {3 Weeks At #1}
1. Andrea Bocelli - Sì (DEBUT) {1st Week At #1}

~Currently at my school, I'm taking a directing class. Recently, we watched Les Miserables. The whole movie was sung, and overall it was quite an enjoyable viewing experience. Why am I bringing this up? Because while I did like the movie, the music in it was not fantastic. And frankly Si is basically the music in that movie. It has all kinda the same production, but in Les Mis there was a story and vocal personality that elevated the songs. In Si, there is none of this. Andrea Bocelli is completely void of personality in all of these songs. The lyrics are pretty generic, when they're in English (for the record I have no problem with non-English lyrics, it just stops me from understanding what is said). I am, however, very impressed with the pure sales of this album. If only the music were better.

~So... we gave Filthy Frank a #3 album. Filthy Frank, responsible for helping to start the Harlem Shake meme, we gave him a top 3 album. And I have to review it and take him seriously as a musical artist, as he now goes by Joji. Judging by how the rest of this year's been going, that seems about right. Let's just address the elephant in the room: this man is a terrible singer. His voice is like XXXTENTACION mixed with bad Juice WRLD, aka not a good combo. Also, I'm sure we've all made jokes about how bad Ariana Grande's diction is. Imagine her at her worst in terms of diction, and then make it 100 times worse, and you've got Joji. I can't review the lyrics since I can't understand a damn thing he's saying, but I'd assume they aren't good. Also the production is boring and bad. Joji, go back to making YouTube videos, because the singing thing isn't working out.

~I don't know if I'm supposed to take Tory Lanez's new project seriously. Between the awful random capitalization in the titles, and a muppet version of Lanez appearing on the album cover, I think this whole album may be a joke? Well, it's not funny. Lanez doesn't sound good, the beats are generic at best and grating at worst. The lyrics are what you'd expect from a trap album. But this brings us to the guest features, and oh my god the guest features. Here's some of his featured artists: Chris Brown (twice), Rich The Kid, Lil Baby, and more. Brown is worse than usual, and the rest just suck as much as usual. Let's not have this become a lingering presence.

1. Andrea Bocelli (RE-ENTRY) {1st Week At #1}

~Halsey and Cardi  are here because of their new singles, Bocelli is here because of his album.

~Bye BTS, I won't miss you.

~Best week goes to..... Cardi B? Sure, she got a new top 20 single and still has the #1 song, so let's go with her. Worst week goes to Tory Lanez for being a rapper who couldn't get an album bomb in 2018. That's kinda impressive.

Genre Charts
Mainstream Top 40:
Out of the top 5:
6. Post Malone - Better Now (#5) [-1] {2 Weeks At #1}

2. 5 Seconds of Summer - Youngblood (#1) [-1] {5 Weeks At #1}
1. Ariana Grande - God is a woman (#1) [+1] {1st Week At #1}

~Ariana will probably have a 2nd week at #1, but I assume Marshmello will get there soon.

Hot Rock Songs:
Out of the top 5:
6. Weezer - Africa (#5) [-1]

5. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (#6) [+1]
4. Imagine Dragons - Thunder (#4) [=] {24 Weeks At #1}

2. Imagine Dragons - Natural (#1) [-1] {11 Weeks At #1}
1. Panic! At The Disco - High Hopes (#2) [+1] {1st Week At #1}

~Bohemian Rhapsody is still as amazing as it's always been.

~High Hopes hitting #1 marks the first time in about a year that Imagine Dragons were not #1 here. That's crazy, but I much prefer High Hopes to any of Imagine Dragons's #1s so I'm happy about this.

~I think Thunder could go recurrent next week. With all the Queen songs potentially re-entering, they could finally push Thunder out.

Hot Latin Songs:
5. Nicky Jam & J Balvin - X (#5) [=] {3 Weeks At #1}
4. Guy/Another Guy/A Couple/Other Guys/The Bad Part of Taki Taki/A Rabbit - Te Bote (#3) [-1] {14 Weeks At #1}

1. Bad Bunny/Drake - MIA (#2) [+1] {2nd Week At #1}

~Despacito had the biggest gain in streams this week. I don't even know what to think of that.

5. Jimmie Allen - Best Shot (#6) [+1]
4. Dan + Shay - Speechless (#4) [=]

2. Luke Combs - She Got The Best of Me (#2) [=]
1. Bebe Rexha/Florida Georgia Line - Meant To Be (#1) [=] {49th Week At #1}

~I really like Best Shot. It's a super sweet song, the guitars are implemented nicely, and Allen has a nice voice. Also I find it really cool that an African-American man is having success on the country charts.

~I re-listened to She Got The Best of Me and it's way better than I remembered. Luke Combs I believe in you, you have three weeks left before Meant To Be lasts a year at #1. You can do it. You can stop a trap song from lasting a year at #1 on the country charts.

Best Chart: Mainstream Top 40
Worst Chart: Hot Latin Songs

  2. Why didn't you just extend the genre charts to the top 10 and add in the Alt charts?
