Twenty One Pilots (3) - Alt-8 Week of 9/8/18

Hi everyone. The Alt-8 appears to be slowly be getting worse and worse, but the only three good songs are all in the top 4 so I guess that's good. But seriously I would appreciate some more quality on this countdown please. Exits:

  • Rex Orange County/Benny Sings - Loving Is Easy (#8) [x3]
  • Death Cab for Cutie - Gold Rush (#3) [x2]
8. Bishop Briggs - Baby (DEBUT)
7. The Wombats - Lemon To A Knife Fight (#6) [-1]
6. AJR - Burn The House Down (#4) [-2]
5. flora cash - You're Somebody Else (DEBUT)
4. Dennis Lloyd - Nevermind (#5) [+1]
3. Billie Eilish - you should see me in a crown (#3) [=]
2. Marshmello/Bastille - Happier (#7) [+5]
1. Twenty One Pilots - Nico and the Niners (#1) [=] {3rd Week At #1}

New Entrants
~Can't say I'm enjoying Baby at the moment. I find the vocals to be annoying, and the production is also very mediocre. Honestly, the singer kinda reminds me of Julia Michaels as she just can not sing. I hope this isn't with us for long.

~You're Somebody Else is very boring. The song is only 3 minutes, but while listening to it I felt like it was 6 minutes long. Also, neither of the singers sound very good. The lyrics are pretty generic honestly. I would like if this left soon.

Blurb Somebody Else
~I'm not heartbroken about either of our exits. Loving Is Easy was very mediocre and I won't miss it. Gold Rush was good, but it was starting to fade on me.

~I really don't get why Lemon To A Knife Fight is still here. I can't imagine who would be voting for this.

~Burn The House Down took a nice little drop this week. If this could leave here and not debut on the Weekend Countdown I would appreciate it.

~Nevermind continues to gain as it goes up one. I do hope that this can hit #1 in the near future.

~My dislike of you should see me in a crown is not helped by the fact that all my friends seem to think that Billie Eilish is so great and such a good lyricist. She's only a Junior in high school, and frankly it shows in this song. The lyrics sound like something that a teenager would write in an attempt at seeming "deep" and "emo", but it fails really badly. If I want this type of music, I'll listen to Lorde.

~Happier took a really big jump up to #2. As you can see, I've grown into this song. I'll explain why in my Hits 1 post later.

~And Nico and the Niners holds onto the #1 spot. I still really like the song, and it can spend as much as it wants up there, as long as it doesn't block Nevermind from getting there.
