Hi everyone. I'm just going to enjoy writing Billboard Overview for now, until it becomes Lilboard Waynerview next week. So without any more delays, let's get right into it:
Hot 100
Out of the top 20:
28. Eminem/Joyner Lucas - Lucky You (#13) [-15]
23. Ella Mai - Boo'd Up (#20) [-3]
22. Lil Baby/Drake - Yes Indeed (#19) [-3]
20. Ariana Grande - God is a woman (#17) [-3]
19. Selena Gomez - Back To You (#18) [-1]
18. Ella Mai - Trip (#21) [+3]
17. DJ Khaled/Justin Bieber/Quavo/Chance The Rapper - No Brainer (#16) [-1]
16. Drake - Nonstop (#15) [-1]
15. Marshmello/Bastille - Happier (#31) [+16]
14. Imagine Dragons - Natural (#14) [=]
13. Lil Peep & XXXTENTACION - Falling Down (#47) [+34]
12. Khalid/Normani - Love Lies (#11) [-1]
11. Tyga/Offset - Taste (#12) [+1]
10. 5 Seconds of Summer - Youngblood (#10) [=]
9. Kanye West & Lil Pump/Adele Givens - I Love It (#7) [-2]
8. 6ix9ine/Nicki Minaj/Murda Beatz - FEFE (#8) [=]
7. Cardi B/Bad Bunny/J Balvin - I Like It (#6) [-1] {1 Week At #1}
6. Travis Scott - SICKO MODE (#9) [+3]
5. Eminem - Killshot (#3) [-2]
4. Drake - In My Feelings (#2) [-2] {10 Weeks At #1}
3. Post Malone - Better Now (#5) [+2]
2. Juice WRLD - Lucid Dreams (#4) [+2]
1. Maroon 5/Cardi B - Girls Like You (#) [=] {2nd Week At #1}
~Lucky You unfortunately appears to be flopping, which is a shame since it's a great song. Boo'd Up and Yes Indeed have both had good runs and it's about time for them to start falling.
~Our first new entrant comes from someone who we all assumed would be a one hit wonder, Ella Mai. Trip is a bit of a step up from Boo'd Up. The beat here is much better. I really like the chorus as well. I don't see this becoming as big as Boo'd Up, but I certainly wouldn't mind it if it did.
~I've already discussed Happier, so I'll just say this: this song is going to be huge. It's going to be Marshmello's highest peaking song, and I'm going to call it right here: this will be a top 3 single.
~Oh boy.... I wish I hated Falling Down WAY more than I did. While I do have it in red, as there are lots of problems with it *cough* XXXTENTACION *cough*, the production is solid. But then there's the whole thing about grave robbing, and it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth (ears?) after listening to it. I hope that Lil Wayne blocks this from getting further.
~There is only one way I can see Lucid Dreams not hitting #1. Mona Lisa needs to debut at #1 next week, and then tomorrow the video for SICKO MODE must be released, sending that to #1 for a couple weeks.
Billboard 200
Out of the top 10:
55. Paul McCartney - Egypt Station (#8) [-47] {1 Week At #1}
13. Nicki Minaj - Queen (#9) [-4]
12. 6LACK - East Atlanta Love Letter (#3) [-9]
10. Ariana Grande - Sweetener (#7) [-3] {1 Week At #1}
9. Lauren Daigle - Look Up Child (#16) [+7]
8. Juice WRLD - Goodbye & Good Riddance (#10) [+2]
7. Carrie Underwood - Cry Pretty (#1) [-6] {1 Week At #1}
6. Post Malone - beerbongs & bentleys (#6) [=] {3 Weeks At #1}
5. Travis Scott - ASTROWORLD (#5) [=] {2 Weeks At #1}
4. Drake - Scorpion (#4) [=] {5 Weeks At #1}
3. Eminem - Kamikaze (#2) [-1] {1 Week At #1}
2. Josh Groban - Bridges (DEBUT)
1. BROCKHAMPTON - iridescence (DEBUT) {1st Week At #1}
~Egypt Station was never destined to hang on very long, but I'm surprised it crashed so hard. East Atlanta Love Letter held on much better than I thought, and Queen is finally starting to fall.
~Ugh why is Lauren Daigle's album back? Who actually wants to listen to this????
~We have two debuts, so let's start with our #1. iridescence is far from being a good album. The flows here are decent at best, but I can understand why some like them. I personally find a lot of their flows to be very clunky. I also don't think the production is very good, as there are many poorly done speaking parts in it. I don't think this deserved the #1 spot at all, but whatever not many albums this year did.
~I did not know what to think of Bridges going into it. First of all, I was very impressed by Josh Groban's vocals. I think he has a really great voice, and I wouldn't mind him seeing some mainstream success. The reason this album made it into the great tier is due to the instrumentation. I really like that he uses real instruments, and some of them sound really good such as the guitars on Musica del Corazon. I feel like a couple of the duets are a little lacking in quality, specifically the ones with Sarah McLachlan and Andrea Bocelli. But then you get Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland one the album's best track in 99 Years and it makes up for it. I doubt I'll be revisiting this anytime soon, but it is certainly good for the time being.
~You may notice that I now consider ASTROWORLD a great album. I re-listened to it the other day, and I really enjoyed it.
~America, I ask only one thing of you. Don't let Cry Pretty fall faster than Look Up Child. Please.
Artist 100
Out of the top 10:
16. Carrie Underwood (#1) [-15] {1 Week At #1}
12. Ed Sheeran (#9) [-3] {11 Weeks At #1}
11. Cardi B (#10) [-1] {1 Week At #1}
10. XXXTENTACION (#12) [+2] {2 Weeks At #1}

7. BTS (#4) [-3] {2 Weeks At #1}
6. Post Malone (#5) [-1] {2 Weeks At #1}
5. Imagine Dragons (#6) [+1] {1 Week At #1}
4. Drake (#3) [-1] {31 Weeks At #1}
3. BROCKHAMPTON (RE-ENTRY)
2. Josh Groban (RE-ENTRY)
1. Eminem (#2) [+1] {3rd Week At #1}
~Huh. Didn't expect Eminem to be at #1 here. Not complaining though.
~What I am complaining about is that prior to this week, Eminem, XXXTENTACION, and BTS had the same number of weeks at #1 on this chart. I shouldn't have to explain why this is a problem.
~I'll give best week this week to the Billboard Hot 100, in honor of it's 60 years of service to us, before it becomes Lilboard Hot 100 next week. Worst week goes to Drake as God's Plan is falling so fast Perfect could be our year-end #1. And I'm blaming him for that. Also this may be the only time in the rest of my life I can give Drake worst week on this blog.
