Hi everyone. Before we get to this week's chart, I want to tell all of you that this blog is going to be inactive for about a month. I am going away and will not have my computer or phone with me, so I will have no way to update the blog. I'll be gone from Saturday, June 23rd until Thursday, July 19th. I'll have three big catch-up posts when I return home. The first two will be published on Friday: updates on the Weekend Countdown/Hit-Bound and the Alt-8. I won't have time to write blurbs, so I'll color-code each week and review the new entrants. Then, on Sunday or Monday I'll do the same for the Billboard 200. For the rest of the summer, I might try doing some other stuff on the blog as well. Anyways, this is my last post before I leave so here it is:
This was a pretty good week for the Billboard 200. We had some high debuts, and my predictions were all wrong (I think I looked at the wrong week). I've also marked the best and worst song from each album. If a song is in purple or orange, it means the song is especially good or especially bad. New Entrants
~I was not looking forward to hearing more from Future. But when I saw the trailer for Superfly I thought I might have to listen to this album. And everything he made for the album is garbage. The only good songs on the whole album are R.A.N. by Miguel and This Way by Khalid and H.E.R.. Neither Future nor most of his guests stars, such as Lil Wayne and 21 Savage, have any real talent as rappers. And there's just way too many tracks. I'm hoping this one leaves us as soon as possible.
~Remember last week when I said I didn't like Prequelle because I'm not a fan of that type of music? Well, Artificial Selection has me begging to see Prequelle back. The production on this album is generic at best. The vocals are not good in general, and when they start screaming for no good reason it just kills the song. And the lyrics range from insensitive to stupid attempts to be emo. For example, they compare indecision to cancer, and say that "empathy is overrated". I'm praying that this takes a God's Favorite Customer style drop next week. Or better yet, just exit the chart all together. I don't understand why anyone would like this album.
~I'm not going to lie, I'm kinda in love with Bigger. I had no expectations going into it, but it surprised me. The production is very basic, but it works for the style. The vocals sounds pretty good, and the lyrics are deeper than most other country music these days. I don't totally get why I love this as much as I do, but it's easily the best debut this week.
~I wish The Mountain hadn't been the higher of our country albums debuts. It's fine I guess. I just find it to be really boring and generic country music. It's kinda like This One's For You where there's no real stand-out tracks, but there's also no really bad tracks. I'm assuming this will drop fast.
~KIDS SEE GHOSTS is a mixed bag for me. There are some solid tracks, and also some pretty bad tracks. It's 100% a step up from ye, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sold on a lot of the production. Also, I think Kanye and Kid Cudi might be getting a little overexposed, as they already released another album together. With all that said, I don't like the tactics Dave Matthews Band used to hit #1, and I would have preferred this there instead.
~Honestly, Come Tomorrow is just really boring. I listened to the whole thing, and yet I am unable to pick a favorite and least favorite track. The all just blend together. I hope this one doesn't stick with us too long.
KIDS SEE BLURBS
~This week, I don't have time to write that much, so we're just discussing the exits. I wasn't fond at all of Ghost. I guess I just don't really like that genre in general, so I'm not sad to see it drop. Also I'm not surprised at all. Daytona was decent, but it wasn't going to last with me for long. I won't be mad if it re-enters though. I never listened to Kane Brown, but it seems like it's one of those albums that will hang around the twenties for a while. I have a feeling this isn't the last we've seen of American Teen and reputation. However, I can safely say that this is the end for God's Favorite Customer as it dropped 165 spots this week. I was never a huge fan of the album, and I'm not shocked it dropped, but it definitely fell more than expected. This is probably it's last week on the chart.
My Top 5 Picks
1. Ed Sheeran - Divide
2. Sugarland - Bigger
3. Cardi B - Invasion Of Privacy
4. Migos - Culture II
5. Kendrick Lamar, SZA & The Weeknd - Black Panther: The Album, Music From And Inspired By
My Bottom 5 Picks
1. Dance Gavin Dance - Artificial Selection
2. Juice WRLD - Goodbye & Good Riddence
3. XXXTENTACION - ?
4. Future - Superfly (Soundtrack)
5. A$AP Rocky - Testing
#1 Prediction For Next Week
The contenders are Youngblood and Everything Is Love. The former has been out longer so I'll go with that.

YoungBlood is already #1 on Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts, Nick.
